NBC 9.26: Roofing Standards

NBC Section 9.26 provides standards for the design and construction of roofing systems for residential buildings.

9.26.2.1. Roofing Materials. Roofing materials shall conform to the appropriate standards for durability, weather resistance, and fire protection.

9.26.3.1. Installation. Roofing shall be installed to prevent water ingress and to resist wind uplift and other environmental loads.
