NBC 9.9: Means of Egress Standards

9.9.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the design and construction of means of egress, including doors, hallways, and stairs, to ensure safe evacuation.
9.9.9.1. Egress from Bedrooms. Every bedroom shall be provided with at least one window or door that can be opened from the inside to provide a means of egress.
9.9.10.1. Exit Signs. Exit signs shall be provided where required to clearly indicate the direction of egress in larger buildings.
