NBC 9.14: Foundation Drainage and Waterproofing

9.14.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the drainage of foundations and the control of water entering the building.

9.14.2.1. Footing Drains. Drainage tile or pipe shall be provided around the perimeter of every foundation that encloses a basement.

9.14.3.1. Granular Material. Drainage tile shall be covered with at least 150mm of clean granular material to facilitate water flow.
