NBC 9.26.2: Roofing Materials Standards

9.26.2.1. Material Standards. Roofing materials shall conform to the applicable CSA or CAN/ULC standards for durability and fire safety.

9.26.2.2. Asphalt Shingles. Asphalt shingles shall conform to CSA A123.5 and shall be installed with the prescribed underlayment.

9.26.2.3. Metal Roofing. Metal roofing shall be made of corrosion-resistant material and shall be installed with the prescribed fasteners.
