NBC 9.27: Comprehensive Cladding and Siding Standards

9.27.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the design and installation of all types of exterior cladding and siding systems.

9.27.2.1. Required Protection. Cladding shall provide a continuous weather barrier and allow for the drainage of any moisture that penetrates the system.

9.27.3.1. Second Plane of Protection. A second plane of protection, such as a building paper or housewrap, shall be provided behind the cladding.
