NBC 9.37: Seasonal Recreational Dwellings (Cottages)

9.37.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the design and construction of seasonal recreational dwellings, commonly known as cottages.

9.37.2.1. Relaxed Standards. Certain building code requirements may be relaxed for seasonal dwellings that are not intended for year-round occupancy.

9.37.3.1. Foundation. Cottages may be built on alternative foundation systems, such as piers or posts, depending on the soil conditions.
