NBC 9.38: Design and Construction of Tiny Homes

9.38.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the design and construction of tiny homes, which are small-scale dwelling units with a limited floor area.

9.38.2.1. Minimum Area. Tiny homes shall meet the prescribed minimum floor area requirements for living, sleeping, and cooking spaces.

9.38.3.1. Loft Access. Access to sleeping lofts in tiny homes may be provided by ladders or specialized staircases.
