NBC 9.9: Means of Egress Standards

9.9.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the design and construction of means of egress from dwelling units and other spaces.

9.9.2.1. Number of Egress Routes. Every dwelling unit shall have at least one primary exit that leads directly to the exterior.

9.9.3.1. Exit Widths. Exits shall be of sufficient width to allow for the safe and rapid evacuation of all occupants.
