NECB Part 3: Prescriptive Building Envelope Standards

3.2.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the prescriptive requirements for the building envelope to ensure thermal performance.

3.2.2.1. Thermal Transmittance. The overall thermal transmittance of building envelope assemblies shall not exceed the prescribed values based on climate zone.

3.2.3.1. Fenestration and Doors. The total area of fenestration and doors shall not exceed the prescribed percentage of the gross wall area.
