NECB Part 5: Prescriptive HVAC Standards

5.2.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the prescriptive requirements for heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems.

5.2.2.1. Equipment Efficiency. HVAC equipment shall meet the prescribed minimum efficiency ratings for the specified capacity and type.

5.2.3.1. Controls and Insulation. HVAC systems shall be provided with automatic controls and insulation on piping and ductwork to minimize energy loss.
