NECB Part 5: Trade-off HVAC Standards

5.3.1.1. Scope. This Section applies to the trade-off path for HVAC systems, allowing for flexibility in equipment selection and system design.

5.3.2.1. Compliance. Compliance is achieved if the total energy use of the proposed HVAC system is less than or equal to that of a reference system.

5.3.3.1. Calculation. Detailed energy simulations shall be provided to demonstrate that the trade-off path meets the overall energy performance requirements.
