NECB Part 6: Service Water Heating Systems

6.1.1.1. Scope. This Part applies to the energy efficiency of service water heating systems in commercial and industrial buildings.

6.2.1.1. Equipment Efficiency. Water heaters and storage tanks shall meet the minimum performance ratings for standby loss and recovery efficiency.

6.2.2.1. Piping Insulation. All hot water piping in circulating systems shall be insulated to the prescribed thickness to minimize heat loss.
